QA Lead

As a QA lead, you will have complete ownership of testing product features: everything from gathering requirements, to designing/automating tests, all the way to delivering the final product. You will validate features from a customer’s perspective and develop creative ways to test the product. You will work with a team of dedicated and experienced professionals in development, product management, network engineering, and customer support to cover all the QA requirements for the MATE suite of products. In this role, you will also gain unique exposure to how large Internet service providers design, operate, grow, and maintain IP/MPLS networks.


Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and network engineers at various stages of PRD/functional spec, design, and software development to develop test plans, tools, and utilities
• Create/evolve QA infrastructure, processes, tools, harnesses, environments, etc to maximize automation
• Define, develop, and implement test plans and detailed test cases for product features
• Track the testing progress and feature coverage by implementing QA processes
• Work with network engineers to automate testing of software interaction with IP/MPLS networks

Requirements

• 5 years of software QA experience
• Hands-on scripting expertise (for example, Perl, Python, Tcl)
• Experience constructing test frameworks and harnesses
• Experience with GUI automation testing (Web and desktop applications)
• Some familiarity with IP/MPLS networks
• Interest and persistence in recreating and solving complex problems
• Well organized
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
